| Suite for Solo Mandolin
The Suite for Solo Mandolin consists of six individual pieces which have been inspired by the unique character of some of my cats, past and present.
Luigi was a majestic brown Burmese and Kitty a Lilac Burmese who remained very small and dainty all her life - from the back of the couch she regarded the ancient mysteries of the universe. Tugger is an elegant tabby who is always wishing to partake of tea with us, whilst Fluffy Boy walks around on his white socks on tippy toes. Razz is a small tabby who loves regarding music on the computer - especially ragtime - and travels at the speed of light when he wants to. Fifi was coloured cream and made everyone feel warm and fuzzy.
I love writing for mandolin and in what is mainly a single line of music have tried to make each piece interesting both in melody and rhythm.
